Consensus for an adequate management of hypertransaminasemia

The institutions: Spanish Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (SEGHNP), Spanish Association of Primary Care Pediatrics (AEPap) and Spanish Society of Primary Care Pediatrics (SEPEAP), have created a working group and have arrived at the establishment of a consensus for an adequate practical approach from the detection of hypertransaminasemia to completing its study in the pediatric age.

21 recommendations were established with the aim of being useful in routine clinical practice in both primary and hospital care.

Lysosomal Acid Lipase Deficiency (LAL-D) is one of the diseases that causes hypertransaminasemia and it was taken into account in the study.
